Betty Black Benton, 88, Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away April 18, 2018. A visitation will be held 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Monday, April 23, 2018 followed by a memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Blue Ridge Blvd United Methodist Church, 5505 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri.
Betty Lou Black was born to Charley and Josleen Black on September 02, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Betty met Wendell at Community Christian Church on the Plaza. They were the first couple to wed in the Community Christian Church sanctuary on September 25, 1948 and have been married for 70 years. They have resided together in the Kansas City area.
She is survived by; dearest husband, Wendell Benton; daughter & son in law, Karen & Kent Taylor; daughter, Janet Winterrose; grandchildren, Jeff Campbell, Michael Campbell; Thomas (Jessica) Winterrose; and Jen (Brad) Stamulis, six great grandchildren; Adon and Alex Stamulis, Adrianna Campbell, Lillee, Gavin, and Zach Winterrose.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Blue Ridge Blvd Methodist Church Raytown, Missouri.
