Betty M Duguid

Betty M. Duguid, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away September 3, 2016.  A visitation will be held 9:30 – 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Woods Chapel Church United Methodist, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM.  Graveside services will be held 12:30PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Luke’s Hospice.  Betty’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Tricia Brashears of Saint Luke’s Hospice and Terri Diemer of CareStaf.

Betty was born February 24, 1925 in Bonner Springs, Kansas.  She retired from Quaker Oats in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She will be remembered for her love of KU basketball and her travels around the world.  Betty was an avid reader and an expert jigsaw puzzler.  Her family was at the center of her life and Betty’s family will have many fond memories of Grandma attending sporting events, concerts and holidays.

She was preceded in death by: husband, George Duane Duguid and brother, William R. Varner.  Survivors include; daughters & sons-in-law, Donna & James Duke, St. Joseph, Missouri, Carol & Darrel Quiring, Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Shirley & Michael Norris, Cedar Park, Texas; grandchildren, Kimberly, Shawn, Jeff, Amy, Austin, Katie, Anna and Jenna and eleven great grandchildren.
