Beverly A. (Strick) Wilson of Independence, Missouri passed peacefully in the home with her sister Kay Schmatjen and daughter-in-law Lynn by her side on September 5, 2024, of natural causes.
She was born on April 3, 1939, to Albert and Ophelia (Leigh) Strick in Independence, Missouri. She attended William Chrisman High School where she met Carl Wilson. She rebuffed his early attempts at courtship to attend Graceland College where she earned an Associate’s Degree. That accomplished, she acquiesced to his persistence, and they were married in 1961. She was a homemaker, secretary, office manager, organizer, saleswoman, leader of girls, youth and women, and lifter-up of many. She touched many lives, demonstrating constant and unwavering support to friends, family and colleagues.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, sister Connie, and many others. She is survived by her sister Kay, sons Keith and Kent, daughters-in-law Lynn, Gina and Katherine, and grandchildren Amanda, Brandon, Arielle and Joshua, along with step grandchildren Joe and Kris, great grandchildren Silas, Olivia, Grace and Joy, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends.
Services will be held at New Hope RLDS Congregation, 220 W. Moore St, Independence, MO 64050 on October 6th at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make any desired donations to New Hope RLDS Congregation.
