Bill Ledbetter, 80 of Independence Missouri passed away peacefully March 24, 2020 at St Luke’s hospital.
Born along with his twin Betty in Livingston TN on May 1, 1939 to Cora Elizabeth and Harrison “Buck” Ledbetter, Bill was one of 19 siblings. Bill left Tennessee and lived in Indiana briefly before making his way to Kansas City in 1969 in a red Pontiac convertible.
In Kansas City he met Donna, married in 1972 and had three sons. Professionally, for more than 45 years Bill was a master in the art of concrete finishing and was beloved by colleagues and friends alike. An outdoorsman to his core, Bill was never happier than when in nature. It didn’t matter, hunting, fishing, tending his garden- so long as he could spend time outdoors.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, most of his siblings, and his wife of 45 years, Donna Ledbetter. He is survived by; sons, Rhon, Shon and Brian; daughter in law, Lorie Ledbetter and son in law, Charles Gabauer; grandsons, Joshua, Emery and Lucian; granddaughter, Sarah, and many nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a celebration of life event in coming weeks when health concerns for gatherings permit. We will provide that information when a date can be set. If you wish to be notified of the date please provide contact information here.

He will be greatly missed ? I really enjoyed talking about hunting and fishing and bbq techniques, concrete and life in general, you are missed brother ??
We always enjoyed seeing Bill when we were visiting Nancy & Lonzo. He always had a good story to tell. He will be missed.
