Billy B. Caudell, Jr.

Billy B. Caudell, Jr., 68, of Chanute, KS passed away May 21, 2025. He was born June 1, 1956 in Buffalo, KS.

Billy was a highly intelligent world traveler with a heart that expanded to every inch of his body. He deeply loved his family, and embraced friendships from humans from all walks of life. He was generous in spirit and generous in giving of his time and money to those in need. He loved children and animals, and they loved him deeply in return. He had many adventures, enjoyed life, but mostly loved spending time with his loved ones. So pure and encompassing with his love, Billy had the unique ability to convince everyone in his presence that they were his most favorite person in the world. He will be cherished and honored by many.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Bill Caudell Sr., his mother, Myrtle Caudell, and his step daughter, Desiree Jackson.

He is survived by his two daughters Ashley Hubert and Livia Caudell, as well as Ashley’s husband Nate and their three children, Judah, Micah, and Daniel. In addition, his four sisters, Brenda Collis, Glenda Stewart, Vada Gillespie, Ila Caudell and their families, his previous spouse, Gretchen Murray, his step daughter Jolene Jackson, and Gretchen’s son, Andrew Symonds.

To my dear friend Glenda. I’m so sorry for loss of your wonderful brother. I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting him but find comfort in knowing we will all be together on day. If you need for anything my friend or my friends family, I’m here. May God bless you and give you strength.
