Billy O’Dell

Billy D. O’Dell, 62, Kansas City, MO passed away May 21, 2009. A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM on May 28, 2009 at Park Lawn North, Liberty, MO. Funeral services will be held from 7-8 PM after the visitation. Mr. O’Dell was born July 12, 1947 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the US Army and earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his service. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest D. O’Dell and Sarah F. (Sloan) Hankins; twin sons, Peter and Paul O’Dell; and life-long friend, Larry Stimelsky of KCMO. He is survived by his wife, Jolene; children, Meghan, Alyssa, Chris, Scott and Catherine of Corpus Christy, TX; grandchildren, Beau, Noah, Nathanial, Dakota and Lydia; step father, Ben Hankins, Jr. and wife Vicki; siblings, Ben Hankins, III of Excelsior Springs, MO, Jim Hankins, Tim Hankins and Dorothy Ferrieca, all of Alaska; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
