Bonnie Cross, age 78, of Raytown, Missouri passed away May 8, 2024 at University Health Truman Medical Center.
Bonnie Lou Jones was born October 4, 1945 in New York City. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1963 and received a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages from UMKC in 1967. After working in the international departments of several banks in Kansas City Bonnie retired in 1985.
Preceding her in death was her husband Hugo (Butch) Cross, father Norman Jones and mother Mildred Jones.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Diane Jones, son Brian Cross, grandchildren Vanessa, Kelsey and Stephen Cross and great-grandchild Everleigh.
Bonnie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 30 years and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 11, 2024 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133.
We are so sorry for your loss. Bonnie was dear to us all.
Bonnie’s sense of humor and endless quick wit brought smiles and laughter to so many. She was a very special person.
We will miss Bonnie very much. She went through a lot but seemed to keep her fantastic sense of humor! Our hearts are with the family and the many, many friends!
