Bonnie Fay Loeding

Bonnie Fay Loeding, daughter of the late Andrew Jefferson Banks and Maudie Elizabeth (Hulsey) Banks was born July 15, 1937 in Guion, Arkansas. She departed this life August 20, 2018 in her temporary home at St. Mary’s Village, Blue Springs, Missouri at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 5 days.

She was united in marriage to Daniel Peter Loeding July 4, 1958 in Dowagiac, Michigan. She spent her life as a beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, provider and friend. During her working years, she was employed as a nurse’s aide, ran a children’s daycare in her home, and was a professional landscape artist and painting instructor until she could no longer work. She loved oil painting, writing poems, attending church, studying the scriptures, praying, sharing her testimonies of Jesus and His church and of the Book of Mormon, spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her church family, friends and relatives. She was a baptized member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of the South Crysler Restoration Branch.

She is survived by her two daughters: Darcy Brotherton (Dan) of Oak Grove, MO; and Renee; four grandsons: Charles DeWitt of Independence, MO, Jacob DeWitt (Angela) of Independence, MO, Jared Brotherton of Independence, MO, Jordan Brotherton (Regan) of Oak Grove, MO; three great grandchildren: Logan DeWitt, Emelyn DeWitt, and Lydia DeWitt of Independence, MO; one sister: Vida Tate of Melbourne, AR; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel Loeding; one grandson: Justin Brotherton; her parents: Andrew and Maudie Banks; one sister: Lola Edington; six brothers: Sherman Banks, Herb Banks, Henry (Red) Banks, Barney Banks, Bill Banks, and Doyle Jackson (Jack) Banks.

The time of the Memorial Service will be 11 AM at South Crysler Restoration Branch, 16101 E. Salisbury Rd., Independence, MO 64050 with Elders Dan Brotherton and Dale Jensen officiating. Visitation will be at 10 AM before the Memorial Service also at SCRB.
