Carl Larabee, 58, left us unexpectedly on December 1, 2020 to be with our Lord and Saviour.
No services or burial at this time. There will be a celebration of life for Carl and his older sister Lynda mid-summer 2021 for family and close friends. Date has not been set.
Carl was born December 5th, 1961 to Thomas and Delma (McMurry) Larabee in San Diego, CA and was raised in Kansas City, MO. Carl graduated from Northeast High School and earned an Associate’s degree in refrigeration and heating.
He is survived by his mother, Delma Larabee Rounds (Robert Rounds); brothers, Richard (Lisa Walker) Larabee and James Larabee; sister, Rose (Craig Gregory); nephews, Christopher (Rachael) Bittle, Chad (Marcus) Bittle, Eric Larabee, Craig Jr. (Brooke) Gregory, and Thomas Gregory; niece, Michelle (Roman) Larabee Turner; great-nephews, Ayden Gregory and Francis Filipi; great-nieces, Adelyn Gregory (Carl called her Madelyn to tease her as if he had forgotten her name), Londyn Gregory, and Lucy Gregory.
Carl’s passions were hiking with his dogs, riding horses, water skiing, boating, being at the lake, reading, debating, politics, and history. If he saw a stray dog, he would love and care for them or find them a new home. He was an amazing story teller, a walking thesaurus, and had the best smile. Carl is going to be missed.
