Carol Jones

Carol Ann Jones, 69, of Raytown, passed away April 20, 2007 at her home. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tues., April 24 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Carol is survived by her daughters Dana Worthington & husband Don, Laura Woody & husband Danny, 6 grandchildren, Mandy & Spec. Brad Worthington serving in Iraq, Darla, Jimmy, Grace & Christopher Woody & brother Don Elkins of MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean Jones, sister Bonnie Tattershall & brother Ed Elkins. She was the youngest of 4 children. Born June 17, 1937 to Argil F. Elkins & Laveda (Fogle) Elkins. Graduated from East High School in 1955. Married to David Gordon 19551968. She worked for many years as an executive secretary & office manager. She married Dean Jones until his death in 2001. She retired from Rainbow International. More than anything Carol loved Children. She babysat many relatives, friends, neighbors and later her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Carol Jones Memorial Fund at Blue Ridge Bank & Trust Co., 6202 Raytown Rd., Raytown, MO 64133.
