Carol S. Doud

Carol S. Doud, 72, of Belton, MO, passed on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Promise Hospital of Overland Park, KS.
Born June 11, 1946, in Corpus Christi, TX, Carol was the daughter of the late Andrew Womack and late Ruby Davis-Womack. She was a 1964 graduate of North Side High School, Corpus Christi, TX. Later that year she married the late Claude M. Doud of Athens, Missouri. They had one son, Carl Doud, born in 1969. In 1973 Claude’s career brought the Doud family to Belton, MO, where Carol resided until her passing. Her career included service at a number of financial institutions and businesses, primarily in loan management until her retirement in 2012. In 1999 she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University, Olathe, KS.
She was an active member of Open Door Bible Church and served in a number of ways including on the choir and church building committee.
Carol was an avid gardener, loved Civil War history, and was a devoted follower of Christ.
Carol will be missed tremendously by her son, Carl Doud, daughter-in-law Katrina Hardison-Doud and five grandchildren, Kiernan, Tirzah, Dorothea, Jayslyn and Cutler.
A memorial and celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Open Door Bible Church Belton, MO, with Pastor Mark Kieft officiating. Burial will occur at Athens Cemetery, Clark County, Missouri at a future date.
