Yager, Carolyn B., 87 of Columbia, Missouri formally of Kirkwood, Missouri passed away 11/8/17. Beloved wife of Thomas E. Yager, dear mother of Craig (Jane) and Brian (Mary),dear grandmother of Chelsea Ward (Aaron).
Carolyn was born on April 8th, 1930 in Creston, IA. She earned BA and MA degrees from Drake University. She taught elementary school vocal music for several years and was a well-known Suzuki method violin and piano teacher in the St. Louis area. Carolyn sang with the St. Louis Symphony chorus for 13 years and was a member of the St. Louis Bel Canto Chorus for many years. She was a longtime member of the Brentwood First Church of Christ, Scientist and the MU PHI Epsilon music fraternity. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday December 9th at 10AM at Eliot Chapel, 100 S. Taylor in Kirkwood, MO. Please send memorials to the Missouri Humane Society.
