Carolyn Taylor, age 85, passed away on June 4, 2025 at the Alpine Breeze Rehabilitation Home in Raytown, Missouri.
Carolyn was born on January 17, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio. She married Richard Shearer in 1959 and moved to Akron, Ohio where she gave birth to her first child, Laura. Three years later, she gave her birth to her son, Mark Shearer. Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother. In 1987, she married Robert Taylor of Blue Springs, Missouri, where she spent the remainder of her life. Carolyn loved animals, particularly her beloved dog, Bella, and enjoyed caring for her garden in Blue Springs.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy, and her sister, Bonnie, as well as her beloved husband, Robert Taylor and the father of her children, Richard. Her son, Mark, passed away in 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Missouri ASPCA.
