Charles Daniel “Dan” Rigg, 82, passed away February 6, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House. Born on December 23, 1935 in Kansas City, Mo. He was the son of Charles Dunning Rigg and Dolores Jane McElwee. (both deceased).
On July 6, 1960 he married Joan Mae (Hotmer) Daiprai. He was a 1952 graduate of Central High School in Kansas City, Mo. He worked for Hudson Oil Company, maintenance man for Meadow Brook in Blue Springs, Mo and Loma Vista West in Raytown, Mo. Self employed delivering radiators to auto repair garages and retired in 2002 Go/Dan Industries.
A sister Jessie Lee (Rigg) Robinson-McKinsey preceded him in death in 1979. A daughter Constance Marie “Connie” Daiprai-Diffee preceded him in death October 11, 2005. Two nephews preceded him death in 2017, Larry Robinson and David Robinson.
Survivors include his wife Joan of the home, son and daughter-in-law Jesse Eugene Daiprai and Nancy of Independence, Mo, son and daughter-in-law Eric Benjamin Rigg and Donna of Independence, Mo, son and daughter-in-law Marc Leslie Rigg and Lisa of Raytown, Mo, a nephew Richard Robinson of Belton, Mo, son-in-law John “Joe” Earl Diffee of Independence, Mo. He leaves 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
