Charles Michael “Mike” Osenton

Charles Michael “Mike” Osenton, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away July 25, 2024. Visitation will be held at 10:00 Saturday, August 17, 2024 with celebration of life at 11:00 at Lane Avenue Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Osenton was born April 9, 1953 at Ft. Scott, Kansas. He graduated form Raytown South High School in 1971, received an Associates Degree from Wentworth Military Academy, continued his education at Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, Missouri where he earned a Bachelors in criminal justice. He played center and defensive tackle in football throughout his educational years. After graduation he worked for Wells Fargo Armored Car as a messenger and assistant manager for 20 years. He owned Osenton Service Company, an exterior maintenance company, for almost 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Osenton.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bonnie; two sons, Chad of Kansas City and Jacob of Blue Springs; daughter-in-laws, Melissa and Jessica; five grandchildren, Connor, Emersyn, Kenadee, Oscar and Oona; and sister, Gemma. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.
