Charles Conway, Jr.

Charles Conway, Jr., 81, Raytown, MO passed away January 14, 2011 at his home. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM, Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Heartland Cremation, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. The Rosary will be read at the end of the visitation, beginning at 7:30 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7009 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO, 64133. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Charles was born November 27, 1929 to Charles, Sr. and Marguerite Conway, in Independence, MO.  Charles was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes. Charles worked hard throughout his life, holding position at Baer Engineering and Construction, Glenn O’Brien Moveable Partitions, the Raytown Water Company, along with numerous projects in his children’s homes all across the country. His favorite pastime was spending time at his cabin at Lake Pomme De Terre, and entertaining all that visited. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Anne Conway, a son Daniel Conway, a brother Richard Conway, and sisters Marion Conway and Mary Sandgren. Charles is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen & Debra Conway, South Lake, TX, Richard Conway, Lee’s Summit, MO, Phil & Colleen Conway, Raytown, MO, Kevin Conway, Raytown, MO, Douglas & Kathleen Conway, Minneapolis, MN. Daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Conway, Kansas City, MO, Donna & Robert Dureka, Raytown, MO; and a daughter in law Roberta Thomas, Dallas Center, IA. Also surviving Charles are his grandchildren; Phillip David Conway, Danielle Conway, Delaney Conway, Stephen Conway, Samuel Dureka, Cariann Dureka, Lexie Conway, Maia Conway, and a great-granddaughter Lauren Conway.  Charles was a loving husband, dad, friend and leaves a void in all our lives. He will be dearly missed.
