CHARLES T. LANGSTON, JR.
Charles Theodore Langston, Jr., 78, of Independence, MO passed away October 25, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Charles was born on January 28, 1930 to Charles T. Sr. and Hazel Lucille Langston in Sand Springs, OK, lived in Kansas City, KS until 1981 when he moved to Independence, MO. He was a Korean War Veteran, retired from the TWA Airline after 32 years and was a member of Maywood Baptist Church where he and his wife married on March 3, 1950. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Edna (Jaquess) Langston; his infant sister, Norma Jean; his parents, Charles Sr. and Hazel Langston; his sister, Betty Attebery; and his grandson, Steven Alex Border. Charles is survived by two sons, Charles Theodore (Ted) Langston, III of Independence, MO and Kenneth Dean Langston and his wife, Jane of Holden, MO; one daughter, Terri L. McMillin of Raymore, MO; one brother, Jack Langston of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was a very loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 Winner Rd, Independence, MO on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 6:00 PM with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
