Charles W. Moerlien, Jr., 88, of Kansas City, passed away quietly at KC Hospice House, Tues., Sept. 18, 2012. He was born 1924 in Granite City, IL. Mr. Moerlien retired from the Kansas City Star as a truck driver and was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include four children, Charles W. III, Heidi M., Angela M., and Robin M.; ten grandchildren; one great- grandchild; brothers and sisters; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Mary A. Moerlien, Sr.; sisters, Mary E. and Joyce A.; and brothers, Norman E. and Herbert W. The body has been cremated and private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to KC Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., KC, MO 64145, or a favorite charity.
