Charles Wesley Osborne, 88 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022.  He was born June 25, 1933 in Cairo Illinois, son of Rev. David and Hazel Osborne. Charles served his country proudly during the Korean conflict in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ozment on June 12, 1957 in Kansas City, MO.  In 1956 Charles began his career as an autobody repair technician. He refined his abilities and became an expert in auto refinishing.  In 1979 he opened Charlie’s Body Shop in Blue Springs. His business grew and continues to be one of the most successful auto repair facilities in Jackson County.

Charles was a devoted Christian and attended church his entire life.    He was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed reading the bible and BSF bible study classes.  One of his favorite songs was “There’s Something About That Name”.

Funny you mentioned ATVs. My favorite memory of Mr. O was attempting to follow him on an ATV ride on a gravel road near the Lake of the Ozarks. He was doing 70mph while I felt like Humpty Dumpty about to take a great fall. He lived life to the max and was a devout brother. I look forward to seeing him again on the other side. No question in my mind he’s there and he’s having an even better time.
