I am sorry for your loss.
I feel truly blessed that you shared your mom with me! I am so glad that I was able to get to know her at the ZTA house. Your mom was a fantastic lady! Whenever I think about my college days and ZTA your mom is always in my fond memories. Her zest for life and enjoying every minute of it was phenomenal.

Mom Welborn was a wonderful woman. She meant so much to all of the girls at the Zeta house. She was a second mom to me and I loved all of the advice she gave us. I only wish that when my daughter goes to college that she has a wonderful role model like Charlotte that she can look up too like I did. God Bless and she will always be loved and missed!
Beth, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I will always have wonderful memories of your Mom at the Zeta House. My prayer is for God to wrap his mighty arms around you & your family during this difficult time.
Beth, your mom was not only a mom to you, but to hundredes of us ZTA’s over the 7 years she gave to Sigma. I feel so truly blessed to have known her and loved her. I loved your mother very much. She was one of the best things about being a member of ZTA at Baker. She was one of the most kind and generous women I have ever known. I will miss her greatly. You and your family and in my thoughts and prayers.

Beth, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was Mom to so many and I want to thank you for sharing her with us. I had so many enjoyable times with her and she will be missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Welborn was my 5th grade teacher at Thomas D. Korte in Independence. I have remembered her fondly and often over the years. She was a great teacher and will be missed by many former students. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Mrs. C, you will be missed but always remembered in our hearts.
I’m so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Welborn’s passing. She was my 5th grade teacher in 1962-63 and I have always remembered her as my very favorite teacher ever. She was so kind and made learning pure joy. I will remember her fondly.

Beth and family,
Mom Welborn made my years at the Zeta house wonderful. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was a Zeta while ’Mom’ Welborn was at Baker. She was very special to all of us girls. I always admired her spunk and love of life. She will be missed by many, but has left us with many wonderful memories. God Bless, Tricia
Beth, I was saddened to hear about your mother’s passing. Charlotte and I taught together at Pitcher School. She was so much fun and kept us in stitches with her stories. She was a great friend and a great role model. What an awesome woman! Think of all the lives that she touched. We will miss her very much.
I just had to let you know what a great impact your Mom had on me. I have the wonderful memory of being in the first class your mom taught. That as you know was at Rock Creek South( that was what it was called then) We all loved her and we knew without a doubt that we were the luckiest kids cause we had the prettiest teacher. I always wanted to be a teacher because of her. She was always so kind, gentle and had a wonderful smile. I
just had my first book published about being a kid in the 50’s and it wasn’t complete without telling about your mom. I pray that you take comfort knowing that your mom meant a lot to a lot of people.
God Bless you and your family.
I am very sorry for your loss. We were very lucky to have your mom with us in the ZTA house. I can not remember her without smiling, she was so full of energy and always happy. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Beth, Your mother was quite a lady. She was one of a kind in many ways. I kept in touch with her after I left the ZTA house over the last 15 years. She made sure to keep an eye on me and my family these past few years. My kids got to see her again last August when we stopped to take Mom out to lunch on our way to St. Louis. She will always hold a special place in my heart – and I will never forget having a cigarette with her and Kelly Urban on the steps to the basement of the ZTA house! 🙂
Dear Beth, Your Mom and I taught at Pitcher many years and she was a special friend. She and I joked that we were distant “Carter cousins” and I accused her of being the “black sheep of the family”. She always got a good laugh telling that story! She also taught my son Jamison and he extends his sympathy too. Memories of her will always bring a smile to my face. Jackie Carter Jones
Beth,
Your mom was awesome! I feel so blessed to have had her all 4 years at Baker. She was fun, kind, caring, compassionate & funny. I have such great memories of her. She was great 🙂
Beth,
I loved your mother! She was housemother at the time my daughter Stacy was at the ZTA house and I served as president of the mother’s club. She helped me so much and we always had so much fun together. We were both P.E.O.s and moved in lots of the same circles during her time in Baldwin. She touched many lives, and I am privileged to have known her.

Beth and family, I only met your mother a couple of times, but I remember her as a lovely, vivacious person. I know you will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Beth, I am so very sorry for your lose. Mom Welborn was a heck of a lady! Always smilin’! Feel very lucky to have known her! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Beth, Mom Welborn was a great lady. She made my years at Baker so much better. She made being away from my own mom so much easier. She will be greatly missed.
I was in the 1962-63 5th grade class at Tom D. Korte, the first of the gifted classes offered at Korte. Mrs. Welborn was the teacher of that fifth-grade class and her influence has passed well beyond the 9 months of 5-day-a-week contact she had with us. She taught us how to study, how to write, how to read good books (by reading to us every day), and how to be good, responsible citizens. Thank God for teachers like Charlotte Welborn.
Beth, so sorry to here of your mom’s passing. I too have a huge smile when thinking of what a lovely, fun lady she always was. So many memories include her and fun times at Mom’s Weekends, etc at the Zeta house. God Bless you and your family. We were all blessed to have known such a wonderful lady.
Dear Beth, Delta Kappa Gamma would like to remember Charlotte with a red rose. Our special way when their is a death of a member. Would you e-mail back to me so this could be done at the cemetery where she will be? Very Sincerely, Jane Ann McGuire. President, Chi Chapter

Beth- Your Mother was a good friend, PEO Sister and Sooo much fun House Mom! We had some wonderful times sharing, laughing, wanting to scream and enjoying our coffee time together. The year the four of us, Babs Reed, Gerri Ridley, myself and your Mom did a surprise skit during homecoming week will always be one of the most memorable events and times spent with your Mom.
