Cherie L (Large) Arnone, 83, passed away September 28, 2026.
Cherie was born July 2, 1943, to Harold and Betty Large. At a very young age, she married the love of her life, Laurence (Larry) Arnone. Larry and Cherie raised 3 children, Paul, Larry Michael and Debbie. Unfortunately, they suffered a loss of an infant five day old baby, Karla Marie.
Larry and Cherie moved their family to Oak Grove in 1974. In 1983, they purchased a small store in Oak Grove, remodeling it into Arnone’s Italian Deli. It was there anyone could find the best Italian meatballs, sausages, steaks and Italian subs.
Cherie was a hard-working lady, and would do anything for her family, whom she deeply loved. She relished having 13 grandkids, 24 great grandkids, and one great-great grandchild. She was excited to know there were two more great-great grandbabies on the way.
Cherie was proceeded in death by her husband, Larry P. Arnone; her maternal grandmother, Nettie Thomas; her father, Harold Large; her mother, Betty Denton; and one sister, Peggy Ann Wallace.
She is survived by her three children, Paul (Terri) Arnone, Larry M (Susan) Arnone, and Debbie (Greg) Williams. She is leaving behind many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cherie will be immensely missed by everyone. She was an amazingly selfless woman. She was truly the salt of the earth, and the rock of our family.
Services for Cherie will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at St. John LaLande Parish, Blue Springs, MO. The visitation begins at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
