Sherry L. Chrisco

Sherry Lee Chrisco, 81, peacefully passed at University Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri on January 20th, 2024.  Sherry was born August 16th, 1942, in Kansas City Missouri.  

She married Darrell Chrisco in February of 1967.  They enjoyed traveling together and frequent visits with family.

Sherry is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Darrell Chrisco. She is survived by her three daughters Chana, married to Ray Dubert, Darci married to Tim Oberfeld, and Jamie married to Matt Barada; six grandchildren Victoria “Tori” Married to Jared Cada with great granddaughter Tru, Amber, Christina, Jacob, Gabrielle “Gabi,” Allison “Alli;” and six great-grandchildren.

Later in life Sherry loved taking walks while playing Pokémon Go. She would also find ways to convince family members to drive her around Kansas City to visit Pokémon stops.  She also enjoyed eating at the Lees Summit Perkins visiting her favorite group of friends.  Sherry got tech savvy later in life and spent many hours on Facebook and playing games on her computer. Sherry was devoted to her church (Frist Baptist Church) and enjoyed participating in various church functions such as the food pantry.  She possessed a green thumb and was the only one that could keep anything growing in her shared home with Jamie and Matt.

Sherry will be remembered by those that knew and loved her as loving, devoted, and a bit eccentric.  She is already dearly missed.

To honor Sherry’s passing, her family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 802 NW Vesper St, Blue Springs, MO 64015 from 5pm to 7pm.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the First Baptist Church’s food pantry in Lee’s Summit on Langsford Road, they are open on Tuesday’s.
