The family of Christine “Chris” Marie Lach of Shawnee, Kansas is deeply saddened to announce her passing on July 20th at the age of 41. Chris was born in Tulsa, Ok on May 18, 1985, to Daniel E. Lach and Dawna L. Lach.
Chris lived in Kansas for 40 years, where she graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School and worked in the field of Property Management for 20 years. Chris was a devoted friend. She fostered dogs with her children for years, overjoyed when they found forever homes. With only two “foster failures”, namely Norman and Phinney who found their permanent homes within our family. Chris was a warm, compassionate soul who went out of her way to show kindness to others.
Chris is survived by her children, Jordan and Jase; mother, Dawna; father, Daniel; sisters, Elaine J. Neselroad and Denise K Pattee; brother-in-law, Nicholas ‘Nick’ Neselroad; nephews, Lukas and Ayden; niece, Finnley; aunts, Judy Smith and Sonia Lach; and uncle, Dave Lach.
Chris was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald D. and Shirley J Hastings; paternal grandparents, Edward J. and Patricia A. Lach; uncle, Gail Smith; and aunts, Sharon K. Hill and Brenda J. King.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
She was my next door neighbor.
She always was so pleasant to visit with.
I liked her and I was very sad to hear about her.
She always will be remembered!
This makes me very sad. All three of you girls were great friends and neighbors. I always referred to you as the three girls. I enjoyed you all hanging out with Tonya and DJ at our house. To Dan, Dawna, Elaine and Denise. I’m very sorry. The world is going to miss you Chris. My little “Red”

Chris was one of the most beautiful people in my life. She was a joking playmate to lift my spirits. Always a listening ear when I needed to share may happiness or sadness, and she always answered. I will miss everything about you Chris, your red hair, your smile, your love and kindness to everyone and I will miss the small things like how you at celery with pimento cheese and how you ate string cheese. I love and miss you. Your family loves you!
Chris, to the people who knew you and you loved, you will be greatly missed. I truly miss all of you. Your beautiful red hair, your smile, the way you joked when you knew I need it, your kind and forgiving heart. You were always there when I need you. I miss everything about you the good and bad. I’m going to miss those weird corks with your love of celery with pimento cheese and how you ate your string cheese. You were an amaxing soul and person. A piece of me will never be the same without you by my side. The family and people you have graced with your presents will never forget you. I love and miss you. Remember The Battle of Evermore!
