Christopher Garfield

Christopher Garfield Gray was born in March 1969 in Independence MO to David and Jo Ann Gray. He passed away at the age of 51 in June 2020 in Kansas City MO. He is preceded in death by his brother Jack and his grandparents.

He is survived by his parents David and Jo Ann Gray of Pleasant Hill MO, and siblings: David (Liesl) Gray of Pleasant Hill MO, Gene Gray of Independence MO, Jodi (Jay) Bean of Alpine UT, Jaclyn (Roger) Allen of Pleasant Hill MO and Charles (Cristina) Gray of American Fork UT, many nieces and nephews, and his most treasured gifts, his children: Stephanie, Baylea, Chance and Spencer.

He is described by those closest to him as funny, easy going, having a terrible wardrobe, peacemaker, huge bubble gum blower, selfless, jokester, notorious for losing keys and wallet, kind and deeply loving.

He worked for many years at the Groves Retirement Community where he loved to serve the residents, bring smiles to their faces, and provide comfort. He found joy in his work. He loved sports, playing video games, and spending time with his kids.

His life was celebrated at a memorial service on June 13, 2020 and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Independence MO.
