Claudia Craig







Claudia “Cocoa” Emeline Craig, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, 64, of Columbia entered into eternal rest November 28, 2008 at Boone Hospital Center.  Claudia was born January 24, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Virginia (Murphy) Bloomfield.  Per her wishes cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date in Illinois.  She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Washington of Columbia and Christina Gabriel of Kansas City, MO, a son Mark Forrest of Ocala, FL, her grandchildren Ronnie, Ryan, Christian, Julian and Jamie, her great-grandchildren Colin, Brooklyn, Kenyan, Sincere and DaJon as well as her two cats Fudgey and Mutter.  Claudia was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Quincy and owned and operated Bloomfield’s Jewelry in Quincy for over 20 years.  She was a gourmet cook, loved to travel and was an antique dealer and collector her entire life.  She also owned and operated Cocoa’s Cabin in Rocheport, MO for five years.  Memorials are requested to help offset expenses and may be sent to Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 1114 Wilkes Blvd., Columbia, MO 65201.

    I’m sorry to hear about your mother. She was a friend of my mothers and I had talked to her over the phone when she was told about her cancer. My prayers are with her family.
