Clinton E. Poulter

Clinton Poulter, 84, Independence, Mo passed away February 13, 2018 at the Northcare Hospice house in North Kansas City, Mo. A visitation will be held 2-3 PM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 3 PM at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo 64133.

Clinton was born June 23, 1933 in Rich Hill, Mo to Victor and Ruth (Hickam) Poulter. He spent his younger years in the Rich Hill area before joining the US Army and serving during the Korean War. He moved to Gravett, AR in December of 1970 and lived there 16 years. He was the owner of the Western Auto store (later Tru-Value) in Gravette. He was an elder in the First Christian Church in Gravette and served as a Mason. Following his time in Arkansas he returned to Missouri settling in Independence. Where he met and married Billy Resch and they were married in 1995. Clinton enjoyed traveling and was an avid crappie fisherman and hunter.  He spent his entire working career in sales, besides the short time owning his business. 

He is survived by his wife Billy; a brother, Victor (Pat) Poulter; a son, David (Ginny) Poulter a daughter Brenda (Jeff) Brubaker; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Parker; a stepson Mike Resch; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Billy, I’m so sorry for your loss. I never met your husband, but I enjoy line dance with you and visiting with you at Genesis gym.
    March 24 will not work for me. I will be in Springfield with friends.

    Our prayers are with you. Clint was a special part of our lives for such a long time. We miss him tremendously. Unfortunately, we cannot be there for the memorial service. Please share our condolences with all of the family. Love and hugs to all of you.
