Concepcion Petronilla Rallé

Concepcion Petronilla Rallé (formerly Rodriguez), aged 91, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024 in Olathe, Kansas. Born on May 31, 1933, in Camaguey, Cuba, she was the daughter of Agapito Armando Rodriguez-Vives and Rosa Maria Mousset-Carmenate Fonseca. Concepcion was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Rosa Margarita Rodriguez, Angela Matilde Rodriguez, Lidia Estela Rodriguez, Maria del Carmen Rodriguez, Ana Ofelia Rodriguez, Arminda de la Caridad Rodriguez and her brothers Jorge Rodgriguez and Humberto Antonio Rodriguez.

Concepcion traveled to the United States at 19-years-old to live with her eldest sister Rosa in 1952.  Shortly after, she met and married Eduardo (Eddie) Rallé whom she married in Kansas City, Missouri on November 5th, 1960.  And after five years in America, Concepcion, whom everyone called Conchita became a citizen of the United States. While Eduardo continued his schooling attending college, Conchita earned a living working for Pheonix Insurance Company. Conchita became pregnant for the first time in 1964, but miscarried. Fortunately though and soon after, she gave birth to her only child, Glaisle Jean Rallé on February 20, 1965. Conchita and Eduardo were together nine years, until divorcing in 1969.

Concepcion was a single mother most of her life and family was her legacy. When her daughter gave birth to three girls, her grandchildren became her passion as she helped caretake them all their lives. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, talking on the phone with her sisters, enjoying quiet and solitude outside, dancing and music, and celebrating life as much as she could with her immediate and extended family.

Concepcion leaves behind a legacy of love and culture. She always had a twinkle in her eye as she remained light-hearted and in high spirits throughout the entirety of her life. Her laughter warmed the hearts of all those who were gifted to be in her presence and her vivacious spirit inspired all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Glaisle Jean Gentry (Graham) and her three cherished granddaughters BreeAna Irene Allen, Jacqueline Jean Allen, and Natalie Kathleen Allen.

Concepcion will be cremated.  She will be honored by celebrating her life the way that she lived hers: dancing, listening, and singing to her favorite music, spending time together as family cooking her personal recipes, and delighting in all of her cherished memories, keeping her light alive in the hearts of those who love her always.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Evergreen Community of Johnson County, Olathe, KS.  This was her final home where she was loved and cared for during her last months.  Everyone there enjoyed her sense of humor and said she always smiled at them.

Concepcion Petronilla Rallé will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Her intellect, humor, and levity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
