Connie L. McGinness Green

Connie L Green, age 79, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died peacefully while surrounded by family.
Born June 5, 1945, in Quitman, she was the daughter of Maj. John S. McGinness, US Army Ret., and Freda M. Miller McGinness. She married Roger B. Green in 1968; they were divorced in 1998.
Green earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwest Missouri State University. She spent 44 years in the field of education, teaching at Albany High School in Albany, MO, Holmes Community College in Grenada, MS, and Wentworth Junior College in Lexington, MO. She retired in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her great granddaughter, Macie Parrott. Surviving are three sons, Jeremy Green of Portageville; Shane Green of Warrensburg; and Dustin Green of Higginsville; a brother Dave McGinness of Trenton; 7 grandchildren, Tristan Green, Madison Green, Cody Green, Dusty Anne Green, Morgan (Green) Parrott, Lacey Green and Hailey Green; and one great granddaughter Everly Green.
There will be no visitation or funeral at the decedent’s request. After cremation, the decedent’s ashes will be spread in a private family ceremony.
