She was born May 15, 1941 in Jane, MO. She spent most of her early life growing up in the Benton County area of Arkansas. She graduated from Gravette High School in 1958, where she was a straight A student, student body president, voted “Most Popular”, won a cooking contest, crowned homecoming queen, and played on the basketball team. She had many friends, several of which she kept in contact with for the majority of her life. While working full time, she attended night school at Drury University in Springfield, MO to obtain her A.S. in Business Administration in 1986 and her B.S. in Psychology in 1991, graduating cum laude. Connie loved watching basketball, especially when her grandsons were playing, and watching Chiefs football. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. One of her favorite hobbies throughout her life was ballroom dancing. Most of all, she was a devout Christian of the Southern Baptist faith and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She lived for her family – her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and doing things for others.
