Connie Sue Lester, 74, of Kansas City, MO passed away June 29, 2019 from a battle with heart disease. Memorial services will be held from 11:00am – 3:00pm, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Little Sisters of the Poor, Kansas City, MO.
Connie was born on March 19, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. Connie was the third child born to David and Eunice Martin in Kansas City, MO. Over the years Connie had one son, Donald Simons and remarried to the love of her life, Harry Lester. She had two grandkids that she loved very much. She recently moved to Kansas City from Cole Camp, MO to be closer to family and friends. Connie was an active member with her high school groups and friends, always seeing a show or going out to lunch. She was always a warm light and loving friend in all of the lives she touched. She will be missed and remembered by many. Just like one of her favorite songs, “All we are is dust in the wind.”
She was preceded in death by: father, David Martin; mother, Eunice Martin; husband, Harry Lester.
Survivors include: sister, Carol Stuart; brother, Jerry Martin; son, Donald Simons; grandchildren, Danielle and Dillon Simons.

Connie was such a great lady. I’m so glad to have known her. She will be missed.

Hi Carol, so very sorry this is terribly belated. I just found out about Connie, and I’ve ran across other’s. I apologize profusely. Hope you and Dick are ok? Don’t know if your able to access this site. Btw, I’m Lisa Morton(Leslie), Vera and Joe’s daughter.
