Conroe Anthony Cook

Conroe Anthony Cook, 64, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 14, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Conroe was born in Winston, Missouri on August 30, 1956 to Milton Berle and Martha Wash Cook. He was raised Catholic but converted to the Methodist Church. He graduated from Missouri Western State University in 1979, receiving a bachelors  degree in social work. He worked as a Probation and Parole officer for  the state of Missouri. Later he worked as a 911 dispatcher for the Police and Fire Department.

Conroe married his wife Peggy Provance in 1987 and they were blessed with two children.

Conroe was preceded in death by his son, Zachery Cook.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, his daughter, Stephanie Crissey, and her husband William Crissey; three grandchildren, Scott Vandenburg, Jr., Hannah Vandenberg and Dallice Crissey; and brother Charles Cook of Columbia, Missouri.

Gravesite service to be at a later date.

Conroe will be greatly missed!

    I worked with Conroe in 1979 to 1980 when he was one of the boys houseparents. There was always something fun going on when he was around. He was a wonderful, caring teddy bear. RIP Conroe.
