Corey Gregory

Corey Gregory, 50, of Independence, MO passed away October 30, 2023. He was born November 18, 1972 in Thornton, CO.

Corey was raised in Arvada, CO. In high school, he and his mom moved to Independence, MO where he met the love of his life, Phyllis. They had two children, Michael and Hanna. Corey loved his family and spent his life working hard to support them. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, cars, and had an extensive aquarium hobby, which included 6 large aquariums he spent countless hours perfecting. He had many hobbies and loved sharing those hobbies with anyone and everyone. He had a very creative and artistic mind that brought to life so many unique ideas. He was firm in his beliefs, confident, and strong-willed. To be loved by Corey was an honor because if he loved you, he would do anything for you. He was more than a husband, a father, a grandfather, a son, a brother he was a best friend, a supporter, a listener, comfort, and so much more. He is already so missed.

He was preceded in death by: son, Michael Gregory; mother, Penny Gregory; and father, Michael Gregory.

Survivors include: wife, Phyllis Gregory; daughter, Hanna Gregory; grandson, Gatlin Swope-Gregory; brothers, Mike Gregory and Jeff Thompson; sister, Dana Ottman (Brad Ottman).
