Cynthia Geraldine Devine, 67, of Blue Springs, MO passed away September 4, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 5:00pm Friday, September 13, 2019 at Church of the Resurrection, Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be held at 4:00pm Friday, September 13, 2019 at Church of the Resurrection, Blue Springs, MO.
Cynthia was born August 20, 1952 to Harold W. Miller and Marie Schmidt Miller. She was the youngest of four children; H. W. “Dale” Pugh, Delbert “Del” Roberts and Ruth Marie Miller Magee. Cynthia grew up in Raytown and graduated in 1970. In 1973, Cynthia married the love of her life, Joseph W. Devine. Together they raised three children; Joseph W. Devine, Heather H. Adams and Jackson Michael Devine.
Cynthia retired after 44 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. She started there as a messenger and left as a bank analyst. Cynthia was involved in many organizations. She was president of the following; Federal Reserve Bank 25 year club, Federal Reserve Bank employees club, Federal Reserve Bank Toast Masters, Lake Lotawana Optimist Club and co-founder and president of girls night out for breast cancer. In Cynthia’s free time she enjoyed scrap-booking, painting and various crafts. She also loved to go antiquing.
She always had a smile on her face. Cynthia made everyone feel important and as if they were her best friend. She always found the best in everyone. She was loved and will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by: husband of 44 years, Joseph Devine; parents, Harold and Marie Miller; brothers-in-law, Tommy Devine and Mike Magee; sisters-in-law Beverly and Mary.
Cynthia is survived by: children, Joe Devine, Heather (James) Adams and Jackson Devine; brother, Del (Kay) Roberts; sister, Ruth Magee; brothers-in-law Paul (Kay) Devine and Bernard Devine; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Devine; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cindy was truly a great friend and “sister”. She was fun loving, caring and such a lovely lady . I will miss her with all my heart and it has been a privilege to help her in her cancer journey. I am so sorry for her loss. My prayers are with all of her family.

I will always think of Cindy as my best friends little sister. Cindy was such an inspiration to all with her battle. She will be missed by all. Love and prayers to her family.
She was a warm, caring , loving woman. I loved her laugh – which she did a lot. I will miss her forever.
Cindy’s smile could light up a room. She just had a way of making everyone she met special. As my GNO Sister, I love her very much and will miss her every day. Go rest with God, I will see you again.
Cindy was always a fresh of sunshine. She loved everyone, and everyone she would meet would become her friend. She was our President of our Girls Night Out for Breast Cancer (GNO-4-BC) and our fundraiser gave to Cancer Action, an organization which was dear to Cindy’s heart. I loved Cindy, she was my friend and GNO sister. She will always be in my heart and i will think of her often.
Cindy was a joy to be around and will be missed by many. She was a blessing to all those that knew her. Every time I think of her I will remember this saying…Those we love don’t go away..they walk beside us every day.
Cindy was a very special person. She was everyone’s friend. I am glad that I have so many happy memories of being with her. She is in heaven now looking over us. She will always be in my heart.
