Cynthia Marie Lynders

Cynthia Marie Myzer Lynders, 60, of Leawood, KS passed away April 17, 2020.

She was born April 24, 1959 in Topeka, KS. Cynthia graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and Kansas State University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta.

Cynthia started a career in social work in Kansas after college and later moved to Kansas City in 1986. Cynthia married Matthew J. Lynders on November 14, 1992 in Kansas City, MO. She worked for the Community Blood Center as a Donor Recruiter for many years.

Cynthia was a very hard worker and had several part time jobs over the years. Her favorite was with Williams Sonoma. She enjoyed engaging with the customers and perusing the merchandise, especially around the holidays.

Cynthia never met a stranger and was always known as the fun aunt! Everyone enjoyed her infectious laugh. Cynthia was a consummate entertainer. She had a quick wit and loved to tell hilarious stories.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Marguerite (Robert) and Sherman Sanford Myzer; brother, Joseph Alan Myzer.

Survived by: husband, Matthew J. Lynders; siblings, Teresa (Thomas) Baldwin, Mark (Therese) Myzer and John Myzer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    Matt. Cynthia was a great person and I always enjoyed seeing her. Last time I was working on Jeff’s house. She met me in the driveway and we had a great conversation. She will definitely be missed.
