The Goich family has been my family for several years now and this loss has been devastating. Skip was such a good friend and was always ready to help with whatever situation anyone asked of him. In the snow days in Columbia he was always ready to get that tow rope out and start towing. At IBM he played a huge role with me getting my current position and while he was my manager he stated that he was very confident with my handling the job at hand. He was a great manager.
Words cannot express how much we miss him. My heart goes out to the Goich family for the loss of a great husband, father, and grandfather.
Fly High Skip, you will be sadly missed, I always moved your sense of humor and you always had a smile on your face, you always told people the way it was. You always would help anyone you could no matter what. Thank you for being apart of our lives and being the best husband and soulmate for my cousin Sue. Love you Skip
Sue, Liz, Dallas and Heather. So sorry for your loss. If I could take your pain away I would. Skip was a good man and loved his family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time in your lives. He is going to be missed by so many family and friends. I love each and everyone of you.
Rest in peace buddy
On behalf of the congregation of Elim Lutheran Church, Ogden, UT, I send my deepest condolences to the Goich family and friends, so far away. May you grieve well and make a smooth transition to a peaceful life without his physical presence. God bless you all.
While the sunshine seems dimmer here on Earth, the stars are shining a bit brighter. Skip was truly a one of a kind guy. He was the model of a straight shooter. If you didn’t want to hear what he had to say, then you shouldn’t ask. Otherwise, he was going to tell it like it was. I enjoyed all his stories, and am so fortunate to have had him as part of my team for the past couple of years. While his presence will be sorely missed, I hope that your memories will bring you comfort in the days ahead. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!
I have known Skip for 50 yrs, we play little league basketball, baseball etc – I lost contact with him after high school , but became pretty close again , talking on the phone and FB– I always really liked Skip , it is still hard to accept he is passed on – its a hurt inside , I will really miss him , and all the convo’s we had – it is so tough so see an old friend go –RIP Skip – love ya man , an I hope I see ya on the other side, – I know we always questioned that , but I believe it more an more –
Skip was a brother that would take care of his family in Missouri and here in Ogden Utah. He taught his siblings how to love sports he could play any sport he tried. He was just gifted . I miss my big brother so much. He made me an auntie to two beautiful children Jr and Elizabeth. I miss you so much . I will never forget him . To Sue your the only sister in-law that I think of you the best. Love you.

Sue, JR and Liz, I was thinking about Skip today as I had not heard from him in a while and now I know why. I am sorry for your loss as Skip was a great guy and good friend. I got to know him while working with him at NME and being a Marine we hit it off right away. I remember going to the air show at El Toro with all of you and today this day I remember him saying ‘She (Liz) doesn’t do that’ you Liz held my hand most of the day. Good bye Skip, Semper Fi Marine!
