Dana Steven Hilker

Dana Steven Hilker, 64, of Richmond, Missouri passed away December 18, 2012 at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.  Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Richmond Christian Fellowship Ministry, Richmond, Missouri.  Military graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.  Dana was born September 15, 1948 in Carrollton, MO.  He was a member of The Christian Fellowship Ministry where he belongs to the Fellowship of the Unashamed.  After joining the Army in 1968, he attended jump school at Ft. Benning, GA and became a member of the Airborne as a parachutist in 1970.  Dana was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Lexington, MO where he was on the ritual team for six years.  He was also a member of the Elks Club-Richmond, MO, VFW, Missouri Trap Shooters Association and National Trap Shooters Association.  Dana and Pam were married January 5th, 1968.  He will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and trapshooting.  He is preceded in death by; mother, Elvira Marie Hilker.  Survivors include: wife, Pamela Hilker; daughters & sons in law, Tammy & David Simmons, Alisa & Ryan Safford; granddaughters, Kristen Simmons, Lauren Simmons, Kelsea Ealey, Jillian Simmons, Avery Safford; great grandson, Jackson Brendle; Father, John L. Hilker; sisters & brothers in law, Jacque & Terry Bear, Wende & Jeff Oliaro, Carolyn & Tony Martin; and many numerous nieces and nephews. (arr. Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 816-313-1677)
