Dan Cook, 64, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, in Columbia. The family will receive friends, in celebration of his life, from 4-6, on Friday March 3, 2017 at the Columbia Country Club, 2210 North County Club Dr.
Dan was born in Columbia on June 12th 1952 to Gene and Patricia Cook. Danny was a lover of the great outdoors, traveling, gardening and fishing. He played competitive baseball for the first 25 years of his adult life with “the best bunch of guys in Boone County”, a true joy and pleasure. Dan worked as a carpenter and builder owning DRC construction and remodeling.
He is survived by his parents, Gene and Pat Cook. Also, his sister Debbie and her husband Richard Bass, his sister Judy Cook Penley and her husband Rick, and his brother Michael Cook. As well as, several nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his partner of 20 years, Pam Ashley and her daughter Brooke Maples and her husband Bobby Werhane and their three children.
