Danny Joe Gipe, 54, St. Joseph, MO passed away August 31, 2010. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2010 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will take place at 4508 Shawnee Rd, St. Joseph, MO the same day at 1:00 PM. Mr. Gipe was born September 5, 1955 in Belleville, IL. He served our country as a US Marine, and was also a glass estimator. Danny was an avid Vikings and Missouri Tiger football fan, and was a moose collector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Cantrell Gipe and Lloyd Henry Gipe. Survivors include his wife, Beryl Gipe; sister, Debbie Williams (Frank); brother, Jerry Gipe (Linda); brother, Ronnie Gipe (Kim); stepsons, Peter and Richard Shapiro; and several nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends . The Gipe family asks that donations be made to the family to cover funeral expenses.
