It is with great sadness that the family of Darrell Lee Murphy announces his passing after a long battle of health issues, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the age of 69.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father Earle Murphy and his mother Violet.
Darrell will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 39 years, Sandy, his children; Amber (Elise), Brandon (Mackenzie), and Becky, and his stepmom Elizabeth. He will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren; Cadyn, Jacksyn, and Jamey.
Darrell was born in Bentonville, Arkansas and moved to Missouri as a young child. Growing up Darrell loved playing baseball and later became very fond of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. As he entered his 20’s he bowled with his wife and continued to bowl well into his 40’s until his health started to decline.
Darrell was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He loved nothing more than his family and will be greatly missed.
I’m so sorry for your lose. He was a very sweet man. Prayers to the family.
Dear Amber and Family,
I am so sad to hear of your dad’s passing. Please accept my sincere sympathy. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
God Bless!
May his family be blessed with the comfort you need now and may you gain strength from your precious memories. The loss of a loved one is a heavy burden to bear, but special memories can help us to cope. May the God of comfort, Jehovah, help you to hold fast to the words of Jesus Christ at John 5:28, 29…what a marvelous time this will be! We can have our dear loved ones back in our arms at that grand reunion. Please accept my condolences.
Sandy
