Darrell Ray Burkett, 66, of Columbia, MO passed away June 15, 2023 in Jefferson City, MO.
He was a veteran of the US Army, 82nd Airborne.
He had a vibrant, fun personality, he loved music, he loved to cook, and he loved the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth E. Burkett, and Helen L.(Qualls) Burkett, as well as a brother; Bryan D. Burkett, and a sister; Kathy M. Burkett.
He is survived by a son Michael Romeo of Holiday Shores, IL, and his brothers and sisters; Richard Burkett of Collinsville, IL, Michael Burkett of Belleville, IL, Linda Evans of St Elizabeth, MO, Diana Crowell of Collinsville, IL, Sheryl Burkett of Belleville, IL, Teresa (Robert) Caldwell of IL, Kevin (Angie) Burkett of Collinsville, IL, Keith Burkett of Caseyville, IL, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St Louis, MO at a later date, with Military Honors.
