Darren Carl Williams

Darren Carl Williams, 65, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1959, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he spent his life building strong connections with family and friends.
Darren dedicated over 40 years to the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2023. He will be remembered for his warm smile, quick wit, and love for life. Darren had a passion for working on cars, drawing, cooking, and basketball. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, including his longtime brotherhood friend Larry Rogers, and was always the life of the party. Above all, he was a devoted father to his one and only son, Trey.

He is survived by his long-time partner, Veronica L. Miller, and their beloved son, Trey Carl Williams. He also leaves behind his brother, Howard Williams Jr.; niece, Karen Williams; and nephews, Keonn and Robbie Rice. Darren is also survived by his extended family, Peggy Lares, Gwendolyn Miller, Tammy Martinez, Zeferino Martinez, Jimmie Jackson, Erica Martinez, Shanina, Vincent, Nadia, & Anneke Lous.

Darren was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ethel Jean Williams, and his sister, Sheila Moore.

Darren’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

    I know him Darren Williams for long long years when I’m little girl he funny and talk talk as love fix his car cherish .. sometimes he babysitter me … as travel fun mini vacation Branson mo with family dieterich and Williams family too … I have good memories with him his girlfriend verorica .. hugs love you

    I know Darren Williams since at Troost School. He and I were in same classmate. He had a good sense of humor. Also he is a good boy. From 1965 or 1966 until 1973. The class were closed for good. He transfer to MSD and I was transfer to KSD. The last time we saw until 1981. We finally met him and sure had a wonderful memory where we were at Troost School. I was deeply sad to find out that he passed away. I will meet him at Heaven someday. Thank you.

    I met Darren Williams through my husband Kim Carter he was an amazing person inside and out he would always joke around with me and say he was old 85 years old he would always change the age lol his girlfriend Veronica my sister is a beautiful loving person and Darren my brother and Trey my nephew love you all in Christ . I still can believe he is gone my he RIP

    I know Darren a long time, when Darren and Larry came to my house during the summertime, since I was a student at KSD. Darren is always there to support and be beside me no matter what. He had a lot of humor and loved to share about fixing the car, sports, etc. I learn from him. I am gratitude and have great memories. I will sorely miss him. Namaste his wife, son, family, friends, etc.

    Darren was a hardworking man who loved to travel, had an incredible sense of humor, and always had a smile on his face. Most importantly, he took such good care of Veronica and Trey, and his presence in their lives was a true gift.

    Darren brought so much joy to those around him; his warmth and laughter will never be forgotten. You will be greatly missed.
