Daryl Thomas Davis tipped his cowboy hat one last time to family and friends on July 30, 2026, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, at the age of 75, after a courageous journey living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Daryl’s greatest passion in life was sharing his faith and ensuring others had the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Even in his final months, he could be found walking the halls of his memory care home, offering love, hugs, and Bible tracts to anyone he thought might need encouragement and faith. His unwavering devotion to spreading hope and kindness left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.
Music and faith were at the heart of Daryl’s life. He found immense joy serving on his church’s worship team and working behind the scenes to ensure Sunday services ran smoothly. With a unique sense of humor and a remarkable gift for connection, Daryl had an uncanny ability to relate to almost anyone he encountered, leaving them uplifted by his presence.
Daryl enjoyed a distinguished career spanning over 30 years with the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), an organization dedicated to championing small business owners at both state and national levels. Excelling in sales, he later discovered a talent for mentorship and leadership. As a division manager and eventually a regional manager, Daryl inspired those around him, fostering professional success while building lifelong friendships that stood as a testament to his character.
Family played an essential role in Daryl’s life. Growing up, he and his brothers were known for their playful shenanigans—a bond that carried into adulthood. Later in life, watching his grandchildren grow brought him profound joy. Time spent with loved ones became some of his most treasured moments.
Daryl was a wonderful man and mentor. He brought me into thr NFIB world and became like family to my family. He will be missed by many people. God bless 🙏
Daryl hired and mentored me with NFIB. Over the years he became a good friend to me and my entire family. He always took time to help others. While we mourn our earthly loss, I’m confident that when Daryl arrived at Heavens Gate – he walked right in without breaking stride.
I remember Daryl as a truly compassionate and caring man.
As a new DM with NFIB he spent an entire afternoon in a motel room in nowhersville patiently teaching me something I was having trouble understanding.

Daryl was the best manager i ever had. I loved that guy. My family loved him too. He was an inspiration to me and a wonderful friend. I will miss him so much. He once helped me get a bonus by working with me in the field. At the end of the week we got 10 new members and we danced on the diner’s table. I hope he is dancing in Heaven.
Daryl Davis is one of the finest men I have had the privilege to call my friend, 28 years ago he gave this old “Chamber” guy an opportunity to join the NFIB family.It has becomes life changing career that I owe to Daryl. I fondly remember those late evening phone calls where Daryl wanted me hear him”shred” some chords on his guitar! He actually inspired me to learn to play. His leadership was impeccable and his secret power was his ability to believe in me ,and others, on those occasions when I didn’t believe in myself. Above all, he was not ashamed to share his faith. He lived it on a daily basis, and I guess that was the greatest gift he passed on to everyone he met. I will miss Daryl’s infectious laughter, and look forward to being greeted by him when my time is up. Thank you Daryl for all you did for me and my family. Peace out!
