David Christy Metzger, age 64 died at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia Missouri on December 1, 2009. Born and raised in Colorado, David ran a successful construction company and raised his family there until retiring in 2004 in Columbia Missouri.
David touched the hearts of everyone that he met and will be forever remembered as a beloved husband, father and friend.
Survivors include his dear wife Linda Metzger, his son Daren Christensen, and daughter Lauren Hauge.
David was cremated and did not want a formal service; rather he asked that those who knew him reach out to those people that are important to them; live, love, laugh and most importantly embrace the people that are important in your lives, in honor of his memory that will live on in all of us.
