David Glen Riggs
March 7th, 1962 to September 16th, 2013
Beloved son of James and Virginia Riggs
David, formerly of Raytown, tragically died at the age of 51 in a plane accident while performing at an air show in northeast China doing what he loved best. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a person with a love for life, his generosity and caring nature.
David was born in Kansas City, Mo on March 7, 1962. He graduated from Raytown South High School in 1980. He was a member of One Spirit United Methodist Church, in Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Riggs, an infant brother Thomas Riggs, grandparents; Dewey and Edna Riggs, and Roy and Elizabeth Donovan, uncles and aunts: William and Rosalee Donovan, Roy Donovan, Jr. Dorothy Ford, and infant Kenneth Riggs.
He is survived by his father James Riggs, a sister Carol Walz, and uncles and aunts: Dan and Carrie Riggs, William Riggs, and Kennith Ford and nephew Caleb Walz.
Memorial Services will be held at One Spirit United Methodist Church, 7900 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo, Saturday, September 28, 2013, Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, with the service at 11:00 AM.

I have great memories of when I was a child and all of us cousins would get together and play. David was the only boy on that side of the family.
We always had lots of fun on Christmas day together.
As we grew older he moved away and we did not keep in touch, but it is sad to have your life cut short this way. My heart goes out to his dad Jim and sister Carol. He came from a great family with a fantastic Mother and Dad who loved him.
