David James Conchola

David James Conchola, 58, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on June 28, 2026.

David was born on March 4, 1968. Throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his profession, and the community he faithfully served.

He proudly served with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department for 28 years. During his distinguished law enforcement career, he also provided security for both the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, a role he thoroughly enjoyed while serving the city he loved.

Outside of his career, David embraced an active lifestyle and had a passion for sports. He loved playing baseball, basketball, and pickleball, and he never passed up an opportunity for friendly competition. He also enjoyed traveling, taking pride in keeping his cars spotless, and, above all, spending quality time with his family and many friends. His warm smile, generous heart, and loyal friendship touched countless lives.

David was preceded in death by his father, David Conchola, Jr.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Victoria Vallejo Conchola; his devoted wife, Angie Starnes Conchola; his daughters, Leah Conchola and Lindsay (Daniel) Klockenga; and his cherished grandchildren, Blair and James. He is also survived by his siblings: Debbie (Don) St. Cyr and their children Ashley and Logan; Tina (Jesse) Hernandez and their children Jay and Marissa; and Vince (Andrea) Conchola and their children Jordan and Ala. He also leaves behind his parents-in-law, Ralph and Jane Starnes, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Woods Chapel Church, 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit the family at a reception that will follow at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to Royals Charities, Woods Chapel Church Student Ministries, or the Benedictine College Baseball program.

David’s legacy of service, integrity, kindness, and love for his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
