David Lawrence Bowlen, of Kansas City passed away October 14, 2025. David was born January 10, 1946.
Dave was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. He married the love of his life, Lillie Bowlen, on March 22, 1985. A true jack of all trades, Dave held many jobs over the years, with some of his favorites being at the Kansas City Star, QuikTrip, and the local casinos. His greatest passion was his family. Dave loved spending time with his loved ones and his dogs, and he never passed up an opportunity for adventure, especially off-roading. He had a deep love for his cars, a good cup of coffee, and his double bubble gum, all simple joys that perfectly captured his easygoing spirit.
Survivors include: wife, Lillie Bowlen; children, Marcie Teenor, Donnie Bowlen, Dana (Robert) Penn, and Becky Bowlen; grandchildren, Jessica, Erin, Nicole, Kelsey, Jesse, Emily, Justin, Haiden, Cameron, Landon, Dalton, and Andrew; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: mother, Aileen Bowlen; father, Pat Bowlen; brother, Vincent Bowlen; sister, Jean Warnken; son, Ronnie Bowlen; grandchild, Baby Penn; honorary sons, TJ Price and Allen Perryman; and his beloved dogs, Buster and Junior.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133. Visitation will be at 10:00am and funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
