Dave was a legend, a man of revere. Anyone would be lucky to call him, friend, uncle, grandpa, or dad. He was always interesting to listen to, and he was interested in what you had to say. The type of guy you loved to pull a chair up next to. I loved hearing his stories of going out west to hunt, or really any story he told. I, and most who met him, held him in such high regard. I think of him every time I have a tomato with my breakfast, as he put it “In the morning with breakfast is my favorite time to have a home grown tomato”. I always thought it was so cool how he drank his bourbon neat, with a cover over the glass. I was heard one of his friends say a phrase about Dave that I think holds true to how everyone thought of him; “If Dave says a mouse can pull a house, I say hook ‘em up!!” He will be truly missed.
