David Wade Mathieson

David Wade Mathieson, 64, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away June 28, 2022.

Celebration of life will be held from 3-6pm, Saturday, July 23 2022 at Flo’s Poke-A-Dot Lounge, 8934 WornallRd, Kansas City, MO

Wade was born April 25, 1958 in Santa Fe, NM. Wade lived in KC for most of his life where he had two children and met a lot of people through bartending. He lived in New Mexico for many years with family and decided to move to Lee’s Summit, MO in 2021 to be closer to his grandchildren. He enjoyed the last year running his grandkids around and teaching them to drive. He started working at Flo’s about a year ago bartending, where he met a lot of life time friends. He had a comment for every joke and a joke for every comment. He was a loyal friend and he would have done anything for anybody. He will be missed dearly!

He was preceded in death by his father, David Earl Mathieson; step father, Robert Pflipsen; and his grandparents, Elias and Julia Sena, Joe and Era Mae Seward, and Aunts and Uncles.

He is survived by his son, Robert Mathieson; daughter, Laura Hill, son-in-law Bob Hill; grandkids, Kenny, Hannah, and Haley; mother, Angelica Pflipsen; sisters, Donna Spencer of NE, Patty Peppler of CO; brothers, Edward Mathieson of CO and Gary Mathieson of GA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many other family members.
