Debra Kay Biggs, 71, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on May 8, 2026.
Debra was born on October 31, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, to William and Betty Marie Reed Biggs. She attended William Chrisman High School and spent most of her life in the Independence area. Debra was a member of Living Hope Adventist Fellowship in Independence, Missouri.
She is survived by her siblings, William E. Biggs Jr. and Donna J. Biggs, both of Independence, Missouri; her nieces and nephews, “Billy Jo” Everhart, Roger A. Dye Jr., and William E. Biggs II; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Linda Ann Dye and Sherry Marie Cramer.
Debra will be remembered as a caring sister, aunt, and friend. She had a kind heart and appreciated the simple things in life — spending time with family, sharing stories and laughter, and enjoying her favorite soap operas. Born on Halloween, she especially loved hosting Halloween parties each year.
Her warmth, humor, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
