Delores J. Coffer, 81, peacefully passed into eternal life at her daughter’s side Tuesday evening September 24, 2013. She was affectionately known to family and friends as Dode, and Annie to her three doting granddaughters. Delores was born on October 10, 1931 in Abilene, KS to Elmo and Agnes Adamson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert M. Coffer; son James R. Coffer; daughter Sandra J Coffer; 2 brothers Elmo and Don Adamson and 2 sisters Frances Brown and Patricia Baugh. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Smith and husband Mike of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter Heather Morgan and husband Daniel of Topeka, KS; granddaughter Tiffany Smith of Kansas City, MO; and granddaughter Erin Bereuter and husband Matthew of Keller, TX. She was a loving Great Grandmother to Acacia Morgan, Brooke Bereuter and Reese Bereuter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family who were very special to her. Her love for her family was unconditional and given with her whole heart.
Delores worked for Rival Manufacturing Company until retiring in 1975 and becoming a full time Grandmother.
She was a member of Swope Park Chapter 520, Order of the Eastern Star. Past Matron and Grand Chapter of Missouri officer in 1996.
Delores was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved to sew and spend time with ALL her girls! She was loved and will be greatly missed.
A Graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO on Saturday September 28, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Missouri, 6033 Masonic Drive, Suite A, Columbia, MO. 65202. (www.mohome.org) financial assistance program.
I was very sorry to hear about your mother. I know that she was a major part of your life and she will be missed, however, her suffering is over. Please consider this a long distance hug and know that you and the whole family is in my prayers.

I am so sorry about Miss Delores. I very much enjoyed seeing her when she was at the assisted living facility that was formerly the Masonic Home of Missouri. She always brightened up my evenings when I would come in to work in the office each night.
